PCI Synthesis is committed to respecting the privacy of individuals. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice to explain our online information practices and the choices you have about the way your personal information is collected and used.
By “Personal Information” we mean information that identifies or is capable of identifying an individual, including our clients, volunteers or patients in clinical studies (research subjects), employees, vendors and clinical investigators with whom we work. Personal Information may include, but is not limited to, first and last name, date of birth, company information, home or other physical address, email address, phone number or other contact information.
You may be asked to provide Personal Information when you use our website, or volunteer for clinical studies or otherwise work with PCI. In addition, if you become a volunteer, we will (with your consent) collect information in relation to your medical history which we will retain and/or dispose of or transfer in accordance with both the relevant protocol for the clinical study for which it was gathered and applicable local law.
From time to time, we may request information from you via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary, and, therefore, you have the choice of whether or not to disclose such information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name, correspondence address and telephone number), and demographic information (such as zip or postal code or age).
The information provided by you is stored in a database in order to provide you with the information you requested. This information will only be shared with employees of PCI and only to the extent necessary to accommodate your request. PCI does not share your information with outside third parties without your explicit consent. PCI is a global company with offices and databases throughout the world. PCI may collect information on its Web pages for reasons such as processing newsletter requests and job applications, and providing company information. Categories of collected information (if provided by you) include contact information, company information and job search/application information. For example, name, address, phone number, e-mail address, company name, position, resume, desired compensation and/or “cookie” information may be collected to process your request.
Every effort is made to ensure that the information is accurate and up-to-date and all communications with individuals provide easy means of validating, correcting errors and updating information.
The information you provide to us will be available to PCI, its subsidiaries and companies working as agents of PCI. Access to data and equipment is at all times restricted to appropriate staff. Except as described above, we will not otherwise use or disclose any of your personally identifiable information, except to the extent reasonably necessary: (i) to correct technical problems and malfunctions and to technically process your information; (ii) to protect the security and integrity of our Web site; (iii) to protect our rights and property and the rights and property of others; (iv) to take precautions against liability; (v) to the extent required by law or to respond to judicial process; or (vii) to the extent permitted under other provisions of law, to provide information to law enforcement agencies or for an investigation on a matter related to public safety, as applicable.
Companies working as agents of PCI or clinical trial sponsors (such as pharmaceutical companies) are required to sign confidentiality agreements or provide assurance agreeing to handle all confidential information containing personal data in accordance with applicable law.
